I know what it’s like to be a new Mum. It is the most amazing experience. It can also be a very lonely time, especially those middle of the night feeds! It can also be overwhelming, joyous, exhausting, monotonous and incredible, often all in one day.
One of the things I realised early on in being a Mum is that we learn to always put our health second. It’s only natural, after all, for our whole pregnancy (and often for a long time before) we’ve been focusing on getting this little person, right here in front of us, earthside safe and sound.
Trouble is, too much time and attention on baby means not enough time and attention on Mum. And while I will be the first person to do #allthethings to make sure my babies are healthy and safe, these days I am well aware of the fact that in order to show up as ‘Mum’ the best way that we can, we need to feel our best first.
And that’s why I created Nourish Mama.
